Friday's Tips - In Search Of Value

Another long old day. Pleased to see that most of the yesterday's tips went well with a 9/1 winner and 50/1 3rd.

I will detail a few speculative bets.

3:40 Thirsk - Iconic Belle is in a pretty stiff race here but I am pretty sure this chestnut daughter of Sixties Icon has the ability. She was relatively fancied on debut although priced to suggest the run was needed. This step up in the distance is a benefit and at odds of 33/1, there could be some meat on the bone for a small each-way wager. Connections have indicated that this youngster has something going for her and will be primed to go well.

5:50 Chepstow - An auction race but Plus 10 which may have tempted a few trainers. I've got a couple of horses here which could go well at juicy odds. Rita's Girl will appreciate this step up in distance and has fair each-way claims at 16/1. I tipped Joyful Dream on debut at 100/1 and she was far from disgraced in 8th. Not a bad-looking filly who could defy her odds of 20/1. It's always slightly difficult to know what to do when you have a couple of fancies in the same race. I'll let you decide which you want to bet as both have claims.
