4:20 Salisbury Racing Tips (3rd October)

SALISBURY 4.20 (8.2)

I am hoping that LIGHTNING CHARLIE 10/1 my 4th top rated tries to lead all the way here with no other known pacesetters in the race and could be dangerous if allowed to set its own pace and the jockeys claim helps its cause, I've got joint 2nd top rated horses in Sir Roderic who will be staying on at the finish and the 3-year-old Blackheath that likes to track the pacemakers but the topweight MUJASSAM 14/1 is my top rated and this one likes to track the leaders and then stay on the stronger at the finish and being drawn next door to the likely leader it ought to get a good tow into the race ready to pounce late on and the prices permit me to have 2 each way wagers.

6:20 Salisbury - Gold Club Looks Tasty At 16/1 (26th May)

SALISBURY 6.20
Not a great class 6 race but there's plenty of pace with all 3 of them in my top 6 ratings and maybe Harrison Sickle from a favoured low draw and my 3rd top rated and could make the frame, GOLD CLUB 16/1 starts 2nd top but the jockeys 3lb claim moves it to top spot but the jockey is 0-3 for this stable and the stable is 0-7 at this course so not sure if its a positive or negative, my original top rated is *SWANTON BLUE 8/1 and this stable has booked a jockey with a 15% win rate for them, I will back both of them each way in this race but my stakes will be kept on the low side.

1:50 Salisbury - Speculative Bet (14th May)

A Maiden Stakes over 5f on good going. Eight two year olds compete, a couple with form. Azhar, trained by Saeed Bin Suroor, held a Listed entry for the Marygate at York and must have ability. A 210,000GNS foal - Godolphin don't lack the funds to chase their dreams. Interesting. This filly is too short odds to register with Speculative Bet but we do have one horse who may have each claims at 20/1+. Heather Main doesn't train many juveniles but she knows a fair horse when she sees one. Aragon Knight may shine today. This son of Kheleyf is held in some regard by connections but made a laughing stock of the money put down when backed at Newbury. This bay colt veered right leaving the stalls and unseated his rider. He was then sent to compete in a hot stakes race at Ascot: slow away, far too keen, he looked to hold some hope but tired rapidly in the final furlong. This February foal is a big, strong colt who will appreciate the advantage of race experience and, perhaps, a more realistic target. His hopes rest upon the class of the opposition and with a few expensive debutantes it would be favourable if a few are particularly weak in the betting. It is worth noting Vostok has been given a selling race entry which suggests he is limited. At big odds Aragon Knight is worth an each-way bet at 20/1+.
