6:45 Newcastle Racing Tips (18th December)

NEWCASTLE 6.45

I can only find 2 that have virtually no chance of winning this race and it's very tightly rated just outside my top 3 ratings so I will concentrate on my top 3 only, Poppy In The Wind is my 3rd top-rated but on a losing run of 14 which is off-putting but could still make the frame, my analysis only works on the win part of each horses data, Red Allure is well-weighted despite looking as though this isn't its favourite surface also it's still a maiden after 15 runs and the jockeys 0-11 for this stable doesn't inspire confidence, I will again be backing the topweight this time in the shape of PUSHKIN MUSEUM 10/1 who comes out top rated thanks to the time it recorded at Wolverhampton last year, the trainer has a decent 16% win rate at this course and the jockeys 1-3 record looks a positive booking.

NEWCASTLE 7.15

This is probably the most competitive sprint of the day for me to analyse to a conclusion, Bugler Bob and Hassaad are my joint 4th top-rated horses and the latter might find the trip too far if they go a fast early pace, Gowanbuster is my 3rd top-rated and it could be the one to set the pace in this race, if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch, JONBOY 14/1 starts off as my top rated horse but if the jockey isn't worth their claim it would drop to 2nd top, the trainers 0-13 record is a negative while it is only the apprentices 3rd ride for this stable with one winner I'm not sure if its a positive booking or not, my original 2nd top-rated is EPEIUS 8/1 and this one will be trying to stay on strongly at the finish and I have no option other than to back the pair of them.

2:20 Newcastle Racing Tips (29th April)

NEWCASTLE 2.20

A competitive all-weather handicap even though its a class 6 affair, im keeping it short and concentrate on my top 4 ratings, Scuzeme hasn't run over this c/d recently but has a time from 2017 that would make it my 2nd top rated, Kroy is near the bottom of the handicap and should be staying on at the finish and cannot be written off, DUKE COSIMO 14/1 is another where I've had to go back to 2017 to find its best time but the jockey booking looks very positive as their record is 3-7 for this stable so I have to back it but I will also be backing CUPPACOCO 25/1 because its done a time this year which is very close to the top and its proven to be in form while the other 3 I had to go back to 2017 so two each way bets on my selections looks the way ahead.

Cuppacoco 25/1 Unp

8:45 Newcastle Racing Tips | Apricot Sky 40/1

NEWCASTLE 8.45
The ratings in this race are too complicated to give precise figures but I can split the race in two as I've got negatives against 7 runners and 7 with positives and it might not be a race to bet in but my top rated is Windforpower but most of its wins come in a class lower races, Royal Mezyan recorded a fast time in 2016, Casterbridge is my highest rated of the 3 horses known to lead so could try to pinch this from the front, Tylery Wonder hasn't been in form lately and its 0-11 on all weather tracks, maybe the safest option if having a bet would be APRICOT SKY 40/1 who is well overpriced otherwise i doubt i would bet at all, it usually likes to track the pace setters and hopefully it can make the frame but any stakes will be kept low and i think its a race to lay a few on the exchanges to make an overall profit.

8:15 Newcastle Racing Tips (16th February)

1m (1m5y) 32Redsport.com Fillies' Novice Stakes (Plus 10 Race) (Class 5) (3yo)

Six runners on Standard going.

Velvet Vision is unlikely to disrupt the major contenders. Mark Tompkin's debutantes can spring a surprise but rarely.

Hugo Palmer is a top-class trainer for a reason and someone to respect with three-year-olds on their second start. Evince is a daughter of New Approach, a home bred in the ownership of Prince K Abdullah. She ran here on debut but inexperience and insufficient trip caused problems after a slow start. Better should be expect.

Chloris has shown creditable form, especially last time out when third.

The familiar silks of Qatar Racing Limited catch the eye for debutante Imperial Act. Interesting to see why the hood is applied for this racecourse bow. It may be a slight negative suggesting a horse that needs calming or lacks focus. The trainer knows best and the betting is the best assessor. This daughter of Frankel was sent to the sales earlier this month but withdrawn. Difficult to know if this is a negative. It does bring concerns. The dam won twice and achieved an official rating of 100. Potentially a smart type but there are questions to answer. If seriously backed it would instill more confidence.

Another owner who has done well last season was John Dance. He is particularly potent when partnering Karl Burke. For that reason, Lumi is worthy of note. This bay daughter of Canford Cliffs cost 80,000 euros at the yearling sales. She wasn't strongly fancied on debut at Newcastle over 7f but ran well, staying on at the finishing, gaining on the lead. This extra furlong should be ideal and I'd expect a bold show. Looks a decent type to put in an each-way double or single if drifting a touch in the betting.

David Simcock fields Skirrid Hill who looks to be second string to Imperial Act.

Conclusion: An interesting race in ways. By all accounts a four-horse race. I'm interested in Lumi but I really wouldn't bet in this competitive heat with just two places for each-way backers. Fascinating to see how Imperial Act fares in the betting with a few ifs and buts flying around.

12:45 Newcastle Racing Tips (29th Aug) VERTEM.CO.UK/EBF IRISH STALLION FARMS MAIDEN STAKES (Plus 10 Race) (CLASS 4) (2yo)

An EBF Maiden Stakes over  7f 14y on standard going. A sizable field of fourteen two-year-old for the Plus 10 contest.

A slightly unusual selection here with a debutante from Jedd O'Keeffe. To be fair this is a conflict of interests because generally speaking this handler has very few debut winners so unless this colt is above the norm he may struggle to prove victorious but, perhaps, hit the frame. Any horse can defy the odds. Balance Sheet is a chestnut son of Casamento, already gelded, which may be negative. This April foal runs in the familiar orange silks of Paul & Dale Chapman Racing. He was withdrawn from the sales as a yearling but sold as a foal for 52,000G. That is a fair sum for a horse and it is interesting to consider that this youngster received a Stakes race entry, which I would view as a positive sign. At odds of 28/1 with bookmakers and, no doubt, substantially more on the exchanges he may hold a bit of value. It is a concern that the stable have such a more win rate with horses making their racecourse bow but that doesn't mean he cannot show ability or have an each-way chance. I wouldn't say I would be sure he will hit the headlines today but at big odds there may be some hope.

1:25 Newcastle - Speculative Bet (27th June)

An EBF Maiden Stakes over 5f on good going. Nine two-year-olds take part: colts bar three fillies. All but two have race experience.

A few of these juveniles have shown ability. I'm not usually a fan of betting debutantes because it can be hard work especially over the minimum trip.

Fidra Bay is a daughter of Roderic O'Connor out of a Listed-winning mare who enjoyed a stiffer test of stamina. This bay filly is not the most expensive yearling at 23,000euros. She will need to be be primed or talented here to figure and at 33/1+ [has been 50/1+ Betfair] it is worth a speculative each way bet.

The interesting angle for this youngster's chance is that her trainer Alan Swinbank does well at this course and it has been something of a pointer when he has sent debutantes to race here. A few of his classier two-year-olds have won and generally these candidates have respectable win and place claims. Not the easiest of race but a horse which ticks a few boxes.
